PlutoChannelEmpire is a Windows application for preparing and uploading videos to YouTube channels you connect. This policy describes the desktop workflow, license service, and private connected-channel registry.

Data we access and use

When you choose Connect YouTube, Google asks you to approve the youtube.force-ssl, youtube.readonly, yt-analytics.readonly, openid, and email scopes. The app uses YouTube access to identify the authorized channel, read channel and video information, and upload, update, or schedule videos and thumbnails. The read-only Analytics access is used only when you choose the in-app eligibility check. It reads the connected channel's subscriber count, estimated watch time by content type, Shorts views, and recent public-upload count to show whether published YouTube Partner Program thresholds appear to be met. YouTube Studio makes the final eligibility and approval decision. The app records the verified Google account email, Google account identifier, and channel ID in encrypted local storage.

In builds with owner channel tracking enabled, connecting a channel also registers that verified email, account identifier, channel ID, license ID, installation ID, and connection time with PlutoChannelEmpire's private license service. For channels connected before this feature was enabled, you can choose Sync saved channels in the app. Registration helps the owner administer licenses, identify connected channels, and manage future account roles. Member, Manager, and Admin roles currently grant no additional app capabilities.

The app also processes your channel settings, video files, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, source-video information, job history, and the local result of an eligibility check for the workflow you choose. Optional connections include Telegram for retrieving media and OpenAI for Smart thumbnail editing. When Smart thumbnail editing is enabled, the source thumbnail and video title are sent to OpenAI to request an edited thumbnail. You can disable that feature in the app.

Storage and security

The desktop app stores configuration, rendered media, job records, and Google OAuth credentials on your Windows computer. Current internal builds protect OAuth credentials and the local channel/email connection record with Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI). Protect access to your Windows account and its files.

The license service receives an access key and generated installation identifier when you activate the app. It stores a hash of the key, the installation identifier, activation and last-use times, and hashed temporary sessions to enforce installation limits and revocation.

For channel registration, the app sends a short-lived Google access token to the private license service over HTTPS. The service uses that token to ask Google for the verified account email and to confirm that the account has access to the selected YouTube channel. The token is used for that request and is not stored in the registry database. Google OAuth refresh tokens remain on your computer and are not sent to the license service. The registry stores only the verified account and channel identifiers, email, license and installation identifiers, and connection time; it does not receive analytics metrics, video files, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, or job history. The hosting provider may process network information such as IP addresses in service logs.

Sharing and retention

The app sends data to Google/YouTube, Telegram, and OpenAI only for the connected functions described above. It sends the registration data described above to PlutoChannelEmpire's private license service and its hosting provider. It does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. Google account identity and OAuth credentials are not sent to OpenAI. Each connected service handles data under its own privacy policy.

Local files remain on your computer until removed. Uninstalling the app may leave its data folder in place. License and registered-channel records remain on the private license service while access is administered; contact us to request deletion. Deleted records may remain in service backups until those backups expire under the configured retention policy. Service providers may retain operational logs under their own policies.

Your choices

You can stop using a connected service, disable Smart thumbnails, revoke PlutoChannelEmpire's Google access in your Google Account, and request help locating and deleting local app data. Revoking Google access prevents further authorized YouTube actions until you reconnect; it does not automatically erase previously registered channel records. You can request access to or deletion of license and registered-channel records at the contact address below.
